World' Best Donuts

Man I love this place. I mean, Grand Marais is beautiful with its expansive views of Lake Superior and charming shoreline, but whenever I'm headed up there I find that the last hundred miles or so all I can think of is; "Donuts, donuts, donuts.…" and "Will I get there before they close?"

World's Best Donuts has been making these little gustatory gems in their red and white shop just steps from the shores of Lake Superior since 1969. All the bakery delights are delicious but do yourself a favor and include at least one plain cake doughnut. It'll change your mind about what a foundational doughnut can be. Just a touch of sweetness in its slightly crunchy exterior and soft moist interior. Although, I have to admit, I'm curious about their new-to-me donut kabobs… obviously it's time for a culinary trip up north!
